A couple’s Mexican honeymoon turns sour when they find themselves stranded at a remote service station with an empty petrol pump and its enigmatic attendant. As it dawns that they are caught in a global oil crisis with no easy way out, cheerful complacency turns to fear and hostility as precious supplies of energy and water run out.
Funny, touching and provocative, Black Stuff takes comedy to emotional and physical extremes as Shams theatre explore the end of oil and ask – just how far would you go to defend your lifestyle?
